We always love to hear about a good collaboration. Something a little bit different. Something with a twist and well, Eddie Zammit from T-world is pretty much that in a nutshell.
So it didn't surprise me at all to here Eddie hooked up with T-post and Jeremyville to create a unique collaboration t-shirt.
Basically, Eddie wrote an article on T-post, then handed that article to Jeremyville who in turn came up with a t-shirt design that was his interpretation of the article and T-post.
Check out the shirt below and head to T-post to grab one!

Most people on this planet know who Greg 'Craola' Simkins is but for the rare person who doesn't...
"Greg Simkins was born in 1975 in Torrance, California, just south of Los Angeles. He grew up with a menagerie of animals including a number of rabbits, which often emerge in his paintings. He began drawing at the early age of three and was inspired by vaiour cartoons and books.
Simkins’ art continued to progress to the age of 18, when he started doing graffiti under the name Craola. Graffiti art became his impetus for creating and gave him the confidence to paint large works. In addition, it taught him perspective, color theory and further developed artistic skills, which later translated into his work with acrylics.
In 2005, Simkins pursued his desire to paint as a full time artist. Since then, he has been featured in numerous group exhibitions and has successfully sold out four solo exhibitions. His art is seen in a wide variety of industries from clothing to video games and has also come to life in the form of toys. His client/collaboration list includes Disney, Mattel, Upper Playground, Juxtapoz, ToDieFor, Vans, Converse, AFI, Saosin, Gym Class Heroes, Pennywise, Strange CO, Nigyoushi, Kid Robot, Zero Friends, Epitaph, Dark Horse, Iron Fist and Pulse International."
As you can see I have basically copied and pasted his biography above, simply put, this is because I have no words to describe the genius of this artist. His imagination, colour use and rendering just blow my mind, so much so I am speechless. Check out his work, it really is a must see...
Images stolen from Craola's Instagram...
The Type Directors Club (TDC) is the leading international organization whose purpose is to support excellence in typography, both in print and on screen.
I am constantly amazed at the work that goes into this organization and how much they support and contribute to the art of type and typography.
Earlier this year TDC announced their 2011 winners for the TDC Typeface Design, which will be featured in Typography 32. The judges were Jos Buivenga, Jessica Hische, Steve Matteson and Charles Nix.
I was excited to see the designs and for the next year I will be ogling their letterforms.
Here are a few images, but please take a look here for the full line-up of winning typographers and their designs.

So it is the last weekend of Board... and the lucky last round of Artist Workshops at the NGV Studio. The girls had a great first day in the space, and are well into day two.
Don't forget Deb and 23rd Key are in the space from 10am-10pm again tomorrow if you want to see them in action... or feel free to pop down tonight for the Closing Party! Woot!

23rd Key, or should I just call her the 2011-2012 Australian Stencil Art Prize winner has just sent a bunch of images through for her portfolio..
Showing off her technique of playing with paper and thinking outside the box, I'm loving the experimentation!
She is also part of the Artist Workshops at NGV today, tomorrow and Saturday with fellow Just Another artist Deb if you want to pop down and have a chat and get a sneak peek of what they are painting.
So head to her portfolio and check the new pics out for yourself...
Well folks. Three is my lucky number and now it can be yours too! As the 3rd of February is a night full of Just Another exhibition love with 3 exhibitions opening from 6pm.
First Up is Rena Littleson's 'My Two Cents' at Egg Gallery, followed by Caitlin Rigby's 'This Path We're On' at BSG along with the 'Board' Closing Party at NGV Studio!
All shows are completely different in subject matter, but if you are in for a diverse night of art, well this Friday is definitely for you!
We hope to see you around!

Back in the days of running 696, Melika came across an artist by the name of Rachel Smyth, otherwise known as Used Bandaid.
We both instantly fell in love with her easy on the eye prints. The always seemed to have something about them. Plus they sold like hot cakes!
Anywho I was thinking of Rachel the other day and what she was up to... so I checked out her website and found this about me section which I just had to share...
"(Strange friggen kid stage)
Children like to draw, right? I think I just kept on scribbling when many stopped. I went to art lessons briefly as a child but found them insanely boring. My dad would take my sister and I to this woman’s house in the edge of town. She taught us how to shade and use charcoal. Also she always had Antiques roadshow playing on her TV. I think I was too young to have the focus for it so my mother took me to figure skating instead.
As a child I was weird and lived in my own little world. Weird kids don’t fear well in primary school. So I was alone… so I drew.
For a very long time my art has been influenced by anime and japanese culture, as a awkward 13 year old i would fill up countless sketch books with terrible Dragon Ball Z fan art. While other girls were smoking at the bike shed or having sex out on the school field I was racing home to catch the end of The Power Puff Girls.
(The gothic nerd anime girl stage.)...
How can you not love that as an about me!? Want to read more? Well then head over to her website! Anywho so after this I figure I need to show you some work too! ... Hope you like!

Just Another Artist Does, was back in Melbourne for a brief 3 weeks as part of Melbourne Underground (pics of his finished piece soon to come) and he brought with him a fellow LoveLetters team mate Nash.
Well the two of them took Melbourne by storm! Not only did they create masterpieces at Melbourne Underground, they also traveled from wall to wall leaving their mark all over Melbourne.
Below are some pics of Hosier Lane Melbourne, Sparta Pl Brunswick, Gold St Collingwood & Knox, where the boys painted, but I suggest checking the pieces out in person, photos can only do so much...

As previously promised here are some more shots from Wk 2 and 3 of Melbourne Underground.
Below are shots of Makatron, Jack Douglas and Kirpy, Meggs and Sear, Paris and Vexta and lastly but not least Adnate and Slicer.
As soon as we get approval, final images will be released... Stay tuned!

Riusuke Fukahori's London debut exhibition 'Goldfish Salvation' may have just finished up at ICN Gallery... but I just had to share it with you as the body of work blew my mind!
The video really explains the process and the work speaks for itself... so all I'm going to say is Enjoy!
See the full set of Photo's from the show here, and more of Riusuke on his site.
