Leisha Muraki graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design and a Fine Arts Minor in Art History from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her focuses are in typography, information design and print.
In 2007, Leisha traveled through Europe, exhibiting a selection of posters in Rome, as well as being accepted into a graphic design intensive course.
"Traveling opened my eyes to the possibilities of design and the beauties of different cultures. The new colors, new faces and new styles have been branded in my brain and are my constant inspirations."
During her education, she spent her years working in editorial, publication, branding and print. Shortly after graduating, Leisha found herself in familiar Rome, working as a freelance designer for magazines, hospitality branding and cafes.
She returned to the States in 2010, where she worked with clients such as The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Nations AIDS Foundation.
Currently, Leisha is based in Melbourne, freelancing her way through the city, working with artists at 1000 Pound Bend Gallery and recently joining the family at Just Another Agency.
On herself and her design style Leisha says, "My design is concept-driven and is aided by collaboration and critique. I'm a true believer that good design comes from a good process. I am a non-chocolate eater, a traveler and a learner. Don't be shy, say hello!"
